Court petition calls for “Injector Barbie” to stop cosmetic procedures due to alleged deformations

Our medical director, Parveen Sangha, NP, was asked by the CBC to comment on the regulation of administering Botox and the complications that can arise when the procedure is not performed correctly. We appreciate the CBC reaching out to highlight our clinic and our approach. We hold no opinion on the specific services mentioned in the article.
“If [Botox fillers are] injected incorrectly, it could go into an artery, which can cause a blockage and lead to tissue death, permanent blindness, infection and scarring in some of the worst scenarios.”
“They come with a lot of risks — scary risks,” said Sangha.
“Unfortunately, we have seen patients here at the clinic to correct problems from unqualified injectors,” said Sangha.
