THE CONCERN
When a Filler Result No Longer Feels Like You
Filler results can shift over time, or simply turn out different from what you pictured: too much volume in one area, an asymmetry, product that has migrated, or a look you have simply outgrown. Wanting it undone is common, and nothing to be embarrassed about.
The worry we hear most is whether dissolving filler is safe, and whether it will remove more than intended, leaving the area looking hollow or uneven. That is a legitimate concern, and it depends heavily on dosing and technique.
Hyaluronidase is an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid specifically. Used conservatively, it can remove exactly the amount of filler needed, whether that is a full reversal or a partial, targeted correction.
No urgency here.
The right treatment can wait for the right reasons. If this is not your best option, we will say so.

Five Star Google Reviews, Rated 5.0 Overall
This week was my first visit to Promethean and the experience was outstanding. The clinic is pristine and welcoming and the staff are professional and very attentive. I was a little nervous about some of the services I was having but everything was explained to me in detail.
THE TREATMENT
How Hyaluronidase Works
Hyaluronidase is an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid, the substance most dermal fillers are made from. Injected directly into the area, it dissolves the filler over the following one to two days, allowing the tissue to gradually return toward its pre-filler state.
At Promethean, hyaluronidase is dosed to the specific correction needed: a full dissolve for filler you want removed entirely, or a smaller, targeted amount to soften one area of asymmetry or excess while leaving the rest of a result intact. Note that hyaluronidase only dissolves hyaluronic acid fillers; it does not affect Sculptra or Radiesse, which are made from different materials.
Most patients see a visible reduction within 24 to 48 hours, with the full effect apparent by about a week. Individual results vary depending on how much filler is present and how long it has been in place. We will tell you honestly what result to expect before we begin.

BEFORE YOU DECIDE
What to Expect, and Who It Is For
What to Expect
- Consultation and assessment. A review of what filler was used, where, and how long ago, along with an honest opinion on whether hyaluronidase is the right approach for your situation.
- A written plan. Whether a full dissolve or a targeted, partial correction is recommended, and the cost, quoted in writing before treatment.
- The treatment. Usually 15 to 20 minutes. A small test dose may be recommended first for patients with any history of allergic reaction.
- Right after. Mild swelling or bruising at the injection site is normal and typically settles within a few days. You can return to your day immediately.
- The follow up. A one to two week review to assess how much filler has dissolved, with an additional dose only if genuinely needed to complete the correction.
Who It Is For, Honestly
Good candidates are patients who want to reduce, correct, or fully remove a hyaluronic acid filler result, whether from asymmetry, overfilling, migration, or a simple change of mind.
- We do not treat during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- We cannot dissolve Sculptra or Radiesse with hyaluronidase; those fillers are made from different materials that do not respond to this enzyme.
- We will decline to treat if a smaller, more conservative correction would achieve your goal just as well as a full dissolve.
If it is not right for you, we will say so, and we will tell you what would serve you better, even when that is nothing at all.
NATURAL RESULTS
Results That Still Look Like You
Natural results come from restraint: the lightest treatment that achieves the goal, and the discipline to stop there. Before anything is booked, we show you honestly what is achievable for your anatomy, and how results are likely to vary for you.
Beauty as a Spectrum is how we practice: every decade from the thirties onward, every skin tone, every style, held to the same standard. You, rested and well, never done. Individual results vary.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Hyaluronidase Questions, Answered
Straight answers, the same ones you would get in the treatment room.
- What does hyaluronidase treatment cost in Vancouver?
- Pricing depends on how much correction is needed; a small targeted dose costs less than a full dissolve. You receive an exact written quote at your consultation before anything is injected. We do not sell packages, and no one here earns commission on your plan.
- Do you offer payment plans or financing?
- We go over the full cost in writing at your consultation, before any treatment is booked. If a payment plan or financing option would help, we are happy to discuss what is available at that time, with no obligation to decide on the spot.
- What happens at the consultation, and how long does it take?
- Your consultation is a medical assessment, not a sales meeting. We review what filler was used, where, and how long ago, and give you an honest opinion on whether hyaluronidase is the right approach, including whether a full dissolve or a smaller, targeted correction fits your goal. It typically takes about 30 to 45 minutes, with no obligation to book anything afterward.
- How do I know if hyaluronidase is right for me?
- Good candidates want to reduce, correct, or fully remove a hyaluronic acid filler result, whether from asymmetry, overfilling, migration, or simply a change of mind. We do not treat during pregnancy or breastfeeding, we cannot dissolve Sculptra or Radiesse with this treatment since they are made from different materials, and we will decline to treat if a smaller, more conservative correction would achieve your goal just as well as a full dissolve.
- What is your rescheduling or cancellation policy?
- We ask that you let us know as early as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel, so we can offer the appointment to another patient. Exact notice windows are confirmed when you book, and we are always straightforward if you ask.
- Who performs the treatment?
- Your injector is an aesthetic physician or a registered nurse injector on our nurse practitioner led, physician supported team. Every treatment at Promethean is planned as medicine first.
