THE TREATMENT
How Sculptra Works
Sculptra is an injectable containing poly-L-lactic acid, a biocompatible material that stimulates your body to gradually produce its own collagen. Rather than filling space immediately like a hyaluronic acid filler, it rebuilds structural support from within over the following months.
At Promethean, a Sculptra plan is typically spaced across two to three sessions, four to six weeks apart, mapped to the areas where your own collagen has thinned. We are conservative with the amount used per session: gradual buildup can always continue at your next visit, but there is no way to speed past the biology of collagen formation.
Early results are subtle and mostly from the injection fluid itself. The true collagen built result develops progressively and is usually most visible around two to three months after a session, continuing to improve for up to two years. Individual results vary, and we will tell you honestly how many sessions your face is likely to need.

- Consultation and assessment. A review of your skin quality, volume loss, and goals, with an honest conversation about the multi-session timeline Sculptra requires.
- A written plan. The number of sessions, the areas treated, the schedule, and the cost for the full course, quoted in writing before starting.
- The treatment. About 30 to 45 minutes per session, with a topical numbing cream applied first and the diluted solution injected across the treatment areas.
- Right after. Temporary swelling from the injection fluid itself, distinct from the collagen result, resolves within days. We recommend massaging the treated area as directed to help even product distribution.
- Between sessions. A follow up before each subsequent session to track how your own collagen response is progressing, adjusting the plan only if it genuinely serves the outcome.

Good candidates are healthy adults with gradual volume loss or thinning skin, who are comfortable committing to a multi-session course and waiting months to see the full result rather than expecting an immediate change.
