How Neurotoxins Work

Neurotoxins such as Botox are purified proteins, botulinum toxin type A, injected in small, precise doses into specific facial muscles. For a period of months they reduce the contractions that fold the skin, softening frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet while every untreated muscle keeps moving normally.

At Promethean, your dosing is mapped to your anatomy and the way your face actually moves, not to a standard menu. We deliberately start conservative: a light dose can always be built on at your follow up, but an overdone one can only be waited out.
