THE TREATMENT
How Neurotoxins Work
Neurotoxins such as Botox are purified proteins, botulinum toxin type A, injected in small, precise doses into specific facial muscles. For a period of months they reduce the contractions that fold the skin, softening frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet while every untreated muscle keeps moving normally.
At Promethean, your dosing is mapped to your anatomy and the way your face actually moves, not to a standard menu. We deliberately start conservative: a light dose can always be built on at your follow up, but an overdone one can only be waited out.
Results begin to appear within three to five days, settle fully by about two weeks, and typically last three to four months. Individual results vary, and we will tell you honestly what to expect for your face.

What to Expect, and Who It Is For
What to Expect
- Consultation and assessment. A review of your health history and goals, and a mapping of how your facial muscles move. You get an honest answer on whether a neurotoxin will do what you are hoping for.
- A written plan. The exact areas, the units, and the cost, quoted in writing before anything is injected.
- The treatment. About 15 to 20 minutes. Fine needles, a brief pinch at each point, no sedation needed.
- Right after. You can return to your day. Avoid rubbing the area and strenuous exercise for 24 hours. Any small bumps at the injection points settle within the hour.
- The follow up. A two week review to assess the result, with a conservative adjustment only if it genuinely serves the outcome.

- We go over the full cost in writing at your consultation, before any units are booked. If a payment plan or financing option would help, we are happy to talk through what is available at that time. There is no obligation to decide on the spot.
- What happens at the consultation, and how long does it take?
- Your consultation is a medical assessment, not a sales meeting. We review your health history and goals, map how your facial muscles move, and give you an honest opinion on whether a neurotoxin will do what you are hoping for. It typically takes about 30 to 45 minutes, and you are under no obligation to book anything afterward.
- How do I know if Botox is right for me?
