THE SITUATION
Seven Days Out, and the List Is Too Long
Two versions of this walk in during wedding season. One is the person getting married, who has been running on adrenaline and four hours of sleep for a fortnight and has just properly looked in a mirror. The other is a guest, on the morning itself, who was at the rehearsal dinner and cannot currently keep water down.
Both are timing problems rather than treatment problems, and what can be done for either depends almost entirely on how many days are left. That is an unsatisfying answer to receive at seven days, and it is a much better one to receive at seven weeks.
No urgency here.
Almost everything on the list works. Most of it just needed to happen a month ago.

Recently went for IV therapy after a bout of sickness. The clinic space is beautiful and Parveen was incredibly helpful. The treatment worked great too, I was feeling brand new the next day!
WHAT WE DID
What the Calendar Allows
Injectables need weeks rather than days, for three separate reasons. A neurotoxin does not reach full effect for around two weeks, so treating at seven days means getting married in the middle of the change. Bruising from any injection can take a week or more to clear. And the two week review, the appointment where a small asymmetry gets corrected, simply does not exist if the wedding falls before it.
Anything that resurfaces skin is out. Peels, laser and microneedling all work by creating a controlled injury, and the visible part of that healing runs for days. The risk is not that something goes wrong. The risk is that it goes exactly as it should, and normal looks like redness and flaking in the photographs.
What remains at seven days is unglamorous and genuinely useful. Sleep, food, water, and if dehydration is the real problem, fluid. On the morning itself, that is the whole menu, and it is enough for the guest who cannot keep anything down.
We would rather decline than treat you too close to a date. Nobody wants to be the reason a bruise is in the photographs, least of all us.

HOW WE PRACTICE
The Promethean Standard, Applied
The same four disciplines govern every treatment we offer, including this one. This is what medically led means in practice.

You leave knowing what is realistic for you.
- 02

BEFORE YOU DECIDE
What to Expect, and Who It Is For
What the Appointment Looks Like
- Tell us the date first. It decides everything else in the conversation.
- An honest read on what is still possible. Sometimes the answer is that only hydration is left.
- Medical assessment before any infusion. The deadline does not shorten this part.
- About an hour, reclined. Worth scheduling as its own thing rather than between two errands.
- Nothing new on the day. An event is the worst possible occasion to try a treatment for the first time.
Who This Applies To, and Who It Does Not
This is for anyone with a fixed date and less time than they thought, whether that is a wedding, a milestone birthday or anything that will be photographed.
- If your date is more than a month away, this is the wrong page and you have far more options than you think. Book an assessment now rather than later.
- We will decline injectables and resurfacing close to a date. That is not us being difficult.
- A drip is not a substitute for sleep. After a fortnight of four hour nights, an early night will do more than fluid will.
- If you are unwell rather than depleted, that is a doctor, and the date does not change it.
The most useful thing we can do a week out is tell you the truth about what is still worth doing.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Questions People Ask in This Situation
Straight answers, the same ones you would get in the treatment room.
- How far before a wedding should Botox be done?
- Weeks rather than days, and the review appointment is the reason. A neurotoxin settles at around two weeks, and if anything needs adjusting that is when it happens, so you want the wedding comfortably after that point rather than during it. Booking well ahead also leaves room for any bruising to clear and for you to change your mind without pressure.
- Can I have filler the week before?
- We would decline. Bruising and swelling after filler are ordinary rather than rare, both take days to settle, and neither is something you want to be managing while getting dressed. There is also no time left to correct anything you are unhappy with, which is the part that matters most.
- Will an IV help a hangover on the morning of?
- For the dehydration part, yes, and that is the part making you feel worst. Fluid and electrolytes go straight into circulation rather than having to survive a stomach that is not cooperating. It will not undo a missing night of sleep, and it is not a licence to do the same thing again the following evening.
- What if I bruise anyway?
- Bruising is a normal outcome of an injection rather than a mistake, which is exactly why the timing matters so much. Tell us at booking if you bruise easily and if there is a date involved, because both change the plan. If you are already inside the window, the honest advice is to wait until afterwards.
- Is it too late to do anything at all?
- Rarely. Hydration, sleep and a sensible skincare routine over the last week are unremarkable and they genuinely work. What is too late is anything needing weeks to settle, and that is far better heard now than discovered in the photographs.
This is a composite. It describes a pattern we see often, assembled from more than one person so that no individual can be identified. No names, no images, and no personal details are used.
