PROMETHEAN CLINIC, VANCOUVER

A Facial and a Drip in One Lunch Break

A composite clinical scenario, not one person, and not a testimonial.

THE SITUATION

Fifty Minutes, and a Meeting at Two

The clinic sits on the thirteenth floor of an office building on West Georgia, so a recurring version of this is somebody who works within a few blocks, has an hour, and is not willing to give up a Saturday. The constraint is not money and it is not motivation. It is the calendar.

The question underneath it usually goes unsaid: can I do something worthwhile and still walk back into a meeting looking like I went out for a sandwich. The honest answer depends entirely on which treatment, and for some of them it is a firm no.

No urgency here.

An hour is a plan, not an apology. Say it out loud when you book.

Recently went for IV therapy after a bout of sickness. The clinic space is beautiful and Parveen was incredibly helpful. The treatment worked great too, I was feeling brand new the next day!

WHAT WE DID

What Stacks, and What Does Not

Two things can happen at once because an infusion occupies your arm and about an hour of sitting still, and leaves your face entirely free. So a treatment that works on your face can run inside the same appointment rather than needing a second one.

What fits is anything with no visible aftermath. Radiofrequency skin tightening is the obvious candidate, because the skin is warm and slightly flushed for a short while and then looks ordinary. Makeup goes straight back on and nobody asks you anything.

What does not fit is anything that resurfaces. Peels, laser and microneedling leave skin visibly reacting for days rather than minutes, and no amount of clever scheduling changes that. Nor does anything requiring numbing time, where the numbing is frequently longer than the treatment.

A NAD infusion does not fit either, for a different reason. It has to run slowly to stay comfortable, so the session is considerably longer than a standard drip and it cannot be compressed to suit a diary.

HOW WE PRACTICE

The Promethean Standard, Applied

The same four disciplines govern every treatment we offer, including this one. This is what medically led means in practice.

  1. 01

    Assess

A medical assessment of your health history, your anatomy, and your goals, and an honest answer on whether this treatment is right for you at all.

You leave knowing what is realistic for you.

  2. 02

    Plan

A written plan for your treatment: dosing or settings, timing, cost, and what it will and will not change. Nothing added that does not serve the outcome.

You know exactly what to expect, and why.

  3. 03

    Treat

Conservative technique from our nurse practitioner led, physician supported medical team, in our purpose built clinic at 1111 West Georgia Street.

You look like yourself, rested and well.

  4. 04

    Care

Follow up to review your result, plus wellness and longevity support under one roof, over years rather than appointments.

A clinic that knows your whole picture.

BEFORE YOU DECIDE

What to Expect, and Who It Is For

What the Appointment Looks Like

  1. Say how long you have when you book. It determines what is offered, rather than being worked around on the day.
  2. Both treatments assessed, not just the main one. Combining is still two clinical decisions.
  3. The infusion goes in first. The facial treatment then runs while it does.
  4. Warm and slightly flushed on the way out. Settled well before the afternoon is over.
  5. Nothing that needs hiding. That is the entire point of this combination.

Who This Applies To, and Who It Does Not

This suits someone who works nearby, wants to keep something going consistently, and cannot hand over an evening or a weekend to do it.

  • It is not a way to fit a resurfacing treatment into an hour. Those need downtime and there is no version of them that does not.
  • A first appointment takes longer than a repeat one, because the assessment is most of it. Book more time for that one.
  • Combining is not automatically better. Two treatments on the same day are two things settling at once, and there are cases where we would rather space them out.

If your hour will not stretch to what you are asking for, we will say so and offer the version that fits.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Questions People Ask in This Situation

Straight answers, the same ones you would get in the treatment room.

What can I realistically get done in an hour?
An infusion and a treatment with no downtime, running together, is the usual answer and it is a genuine one rather than a marketing one. What cannot be compressed is anything needing numbing time, anything that resurfaces the skin, or a first consultation, because in that case the assessment is most of the appointment.

Will I look treated when I go back to work?
After radiofrequency you will look slightly flushed for a short while and then normal, and makeup is fine straight away. After anything that resurfaces skin you will look visibly treated for days. That difference is precisely why some treatments belong at lunchtime and others belong on a Friday.

Can a drip and a facial really run at the same time?
Yes, and it is one of the few genuinely efficient combinations, because the infusion needs your arm and an hour of sitting still while your face is doing nothing at all. Both are still assessed on their own merits, and there are combinations we would decline.

Is a NAD drip an option at lunch?
No. NAD has to run slowly or it becomes uncomfortable, with chest tightness, flushing and nausea being the usual signs of pushing it too fast, so the session runs considerably longer than a standard drip. It is not something to squeeze into an hour, and rushing it is exactly the wrong instinct.

Do I need to book the two separately?
No. Tell us what you want and how long you have, and it goes in as one appointment. What matters is that we know about the time constraint before the day rather than when you walk through the door.

This is a composite. It describes a pattern we see often, assembled from more than one person so that no individual can be identified. No names, no images, and no personal details are used.
